On July 23, TLC will debut The Messengers, an eight-part reality series showcasing 10 inspirational speakers and their ability to transform challenging experiences into motivational speeches.
Each episode begins with a field trip -- anything from joining the homeless on Skid Row for 24 hours to a day in the life of a wheelchair-bound individual. A studio audience then rates the speakers as they attempt to convert their experiences into motivational words.
The best speaker is crowned "The Messenger" and awarded a publishing deal and the opportunity to host his or her own TLC special.
The Messengers will air Sundays at 10 p.m.
