Summer's Most-Watched Shows Among African-Americans

BET’s annual BET Awards is the most watched show among African- American viewers during a summer period otherwise dominated by VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and OWN’s The Have and The Have Nots. Other specials, including ESPN’s June 25 NBA Draft and Fox News Channel’s Republican Presidential Debate on Aug. 5, drew more than 1 million African-American viewers, according to Nielsen.
