Speed To Strip MTV's 'Pimp My Ride'

Speed has parked a licensing deal for Pimp My Ride.
The service has reached a deal with MTV Networks for 74 half-hour episodes of the car customizing series.
Speed will begin stripping the show Mondays through Thursdays at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. (ET), beginning the week of Feb. 16.
Also that week, Speed will premiere the second season of Drag Race High, with the focus this time on the three-month contest to build a champion hot rod between San Diego-area high schools, El Camino and Ramona.
The 10-installment series from High Five Entertainment shows the schools, stocked with $10,000 apiece to initiate the process, vying to raise up to another $50,000 cash or in-kind contributions, such as parts, donated by outside organizations and then the race to build the better ride.
The new season is scheduled to premiere Feb. 18 at 10 p.m.
