RSN Sold to Private Investors

Resort Sports Network announced that its sale to a group of private investors “with extensive expertise in the media and resort industries” is final.

The network added that some of the key individuals in the investor group are: Mark A. Burchill, cofounder of Internet-advertising company 24/7 Media; John Cumming, CEO of Powdr, which owns ski resorts including Park City Resort, Alpine Meadows, Mt. Bachelor, Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, and also a founding partner of Mountain Hardwear; Len Conway, a former equity partner in Telluride Ski and Golf; and John Cooney, an owner of EUE Screen Gems, one of the largest film-production companies in the United States.

“We are big believers in the marketing power of resort-based media," new RSN CEO Burchill said in a prepared statement. "We intend to build upon RSN's leadership position in resort media and grow all aspects of the business. Our ownership will be hands-on and passionate. We live and work in resort communities.”
