Speed Channel said Tuesday that it will renew drag-racing show Pinks for another season.
Pinks airs on the network Wednesday nights, and it is hosted by Rich Christensen. The show pits contestants in a best three-out-of-five format in a classic 1950s drag race, with the loser handing over the title (pink slip) to his or her vehicle.
“We're going to blow the fans away in season two,” Christensen said in a prepared statement. “We've got more than 200 applicants interested in putting their pink slips on the line. We've got Corvettes, a Ferrari, a Porsche -- season two will be loaded with incredible cars putting it all on the line.”
