Games provider NTN Buzztime said it hired restaurant industry executive Peter J. Boylan III as its executive vice president of sales.
Boylan—not to be confused with Peter C. Boylan III, the longtime cable executive, lastly with Gemstar-TV Guide International—comes to Carlsbad, Calif.-based Buzztime from Enterprise Media Networks-EMN8 Inc., a San Diego-based provider of customer self-service solutions for quick-service and fast casual restaurants. He worked at Coca-Cola Co. for a decade before that.
Much of Buzztime's business is with restaurants and bars that host Buzztime games. The service also is offered on some digital cable systems and as a pay service on Dish Network.
Buzztime in May installed new top leadership: former Game Show Network CEO Michael Fleming, a longtime Buzztime director, became interim CEO and chairman, replacing former CEO Dario Santana. Jake Tauber, the EVP of content and marketing, also is a former Game Show Network executive.
