ESPN.com has recruited 18 basketball blog sites as charter
members for its newly formed TrueHoop Blog Network which will consist of
local-market blogs representing each of the 30 pro teams in the National
Basketball Association and another four general interest basketball blogs.
The network is anchored and hosted by ESPN.com's TrueHoop blog, written by
Henry Abbott. Kevin Arnovitz, editor of ClipperBlog.com, has been hired by ESPN
to run TrueHoop on a day-to-day basis.
The launch of the network will prompt a newly redesigned TrueHoop homepage,
including a blogroll on the roll and a TrueHoop module in the NBA section on
ESPN.com.
Each blog will maintain editorial independence and continue to also operate as
its own site.
