Carolyn Everson has joined MTV Networks as director of advertising sales for mtvU, the programmer’s new 24-hour college network.
Everson had been vice president, classified sales for 130 consumer titles at Primedia Inc.
In her new role, she will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all advertising-sales activities for mtvU, which officially launched Jan. 20.
"For the first time, MTVN has assigned a dedicated executive to handle mtvU, and we believe Carolyn will be a powerful asset," MTVN senior VP of advertising sales Peter Griffin said in a prepared statement.
