Food Network and Kohl’s are teaming up to develop a Food-branded line of home goods.
Products will include cookware, dinnerware, kitchen gadgets, cutlery, pantryware and table linens.
The long-term licensing agreement allows the products to be sold exclusively at Kohl’s stores and on Kohl’s.com (www.kohls.com) beginning in the fall of 2007. Marketing opportunities will also be integrated with Food programming and celebrity chefs will appear for in-store promotions.
Available in 90 million homes nationwide, Food is owned by Scripps Networks, which also owns Home & Garden Television, DIY, Great American Country and Fine Living.
The deal marks the first national home-merchandise launch for Scripps Networks.
