CNBC Ready To Ring In 'Tech Week'

With the high-tech world focused on the CES Show in Las Vegas, CNBC will ring in the new year with a series specials under the ‘Tech Week' banner.
From Jan. 4 through Jan. 8, will present a quartet of new documentaries and also host a number of its key shows from the CES.
First up on Jan. 4 at 9:30 p.m. is Welcome to Macintosh, the story of Apple told by the people who build, use, love, hate, and obsess over the company's products. Filmmakers Robert Baca and Josh Rizzo take an in-depth look how Apple has created a cult fan base and how Steve Jobs has become a modern-day hero.
There will be more Apple in the financial network's programming pie Jan. 5 at 10 p.m. with Macheads, an hour-long documentary exploring the loyalty of Apple zealots, and an in-depth examination of just what makes the Mac, the iPhone, and Apple's other products seem like cultural phenomena rather than just consumer electronics.
The following night CNBC's David Faber reports on Marriage From Hell: Breakup of AOL Time Warner. The one-hour film, starting at 10 p.m., will give viewers the inside story on what some believe is the worst deal ever made, and present candid comments from former Time Warner CEO Gerald Levin.
On Jan. 7 at 10 p.m., CNBC explores Planet of the Apps: A Hand-Held Revolution, which dissects the recent app explosion and how they changed the lives of many.
That film will be preceded by CNBC's Maria Bartiromo anchoring Closing Bell and Wall Street Journal Report from CES from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. (as well as on Jan. 8).
CNBC's media and entertainment reporter Julia Boorstin, and CNBC's Silicon Valley bureau chief Jim Goldman, will provide coverage and interviews from CES throughout CNBC's business day programming.
Additionally, CNBC's Fast Money at 5 p.m. will bring gather some of the best tech minds on Wall Street to give viewers the trades during this special week, while CNBC's Mad Money w/Jim Cramer (6PM & 11PM ET) eyes the top sector stocks.
On Jan. 8 at 8:30 p.m., CNBC's Options Action will have your best tech options trades to play the release of the hottest new gadgets.
