CBS College Sports Kicks Off Sophomore Season With 'Mr College Football'

It's TV time again for "Mr. College Football."
Tony Barnhart returns to CBS College Sports Network for his sophomore season with his weekly primetime show. The Tony Barnhart Show presented by Bass Pro Shops debuts on Tuesday Aug. 31 at 9 p.m. (ET), with a focus on the sport's top off-season story: conference realignment. Barnhart will speak with Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany and Pac 10 commissioner Larry Scott about the additions made by their conferences.
Over the course of the 2010-11 campaign, Barnhart, teaming with CBS College Sports studio analyst Brian Jones, again will invite a variety of high-profile guests from the college football community to the program, including coaches, administrators, writers, broadcasters and former players, to discuss topical matters on and off the field.
Last year's eclectic guests included political consultant James Carville, Sen. (R.-Utah) Orrin Hatch, actress Sela Ward, political commentator Bob Beckel, movie director John Lee Hancock, SEC head of officials Rogers Redding, Amani Toomer and others.

This season, Beano Cook is on board with a new segment called the "Closing Drive," featuring the veteran's unique takes on college football, as well as prominent guests from outside college football.
Barnhart's show will serve as lead-in for Inside College Football, which airs at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays throughout the season. Hosted by Adam Zucker, along with analysts Aaron Taylor, Randy Cross and Jones, the one-hour show offers a preview of the upcoming week's action with opinion, insight and analysis of the most significant storylines and match-ups across the country.
