What’s Premiering This Week (April 29 to May 5)

This week Starz will roll out its latest original drama series, The Spanish Princess, as part of a lineup of new and returning shows debuting on cable networks and streaming services. 

The Spanish Princess, the latest Starz adaptation of Philippa Gregory novels following The White Queen and The White Princess, premieres May 5 on the premium channel.  The story follows the life of Catherine of Aragon-- the Princess of Spain -- who has been promised the English throne all her life. She arrives in 16th Century London with her diverse court, but when her husband dies suddenly the throne seems lost to Catherine until she sets her sights on the new heir, the future King Henry VIII, according to Starz.
