Turner Sells TV Downloads on iTunes

Turner Broadcasting System is now offering hit programming from CNN, Adult Swim and Cartoon Network to iPod owners via Apple Computer’s popular iTunes Music Store service.

The TBS content downloads, available for $1.99 per episode, ranges from Cartoon Network’s Johnny Bravo to Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force and original episodes of documentary series CNN Presents.

That follows a series of free podcast offerings Turner has been providing to the iTunes service in the past few months. Adding the full version of the programming content is the next step, according to Dennis Quinn, Turner’s executive vice president of business development.

With the Turner content, iTunes now offers more than 150 show downloads, plus more than 9,000 music videos, Pixar and Disney short films, and more than 3 million songs.
