TNT Scores Weekly Cable Ratings Win

The start of the NBA post-season helped TNT secure its first weekly primetime ratings win of the year.

TNT averaged 2.9 million viewers to top all cable networks during the week of April 16-22, according to Nielsen. Fox News Channel was second with 2.4 million, followed by MSNBC (1.9 million), and ESPN and HGTV (tied with 1.3 million).

USA Network and TBS (tied with 1.1 million), Investigation Discovery and History (tied with 1 million viewers), and CNN (947,000) rounded out the top 10 most watched networks in primetime for the week.

Fox News was the mot watched cable network on a total day basis, averaging 1.4 million viewers, followed by TNT (1.1 million), MSNBC (1 million), Nickelodeon (872,000) and HGTV (775,000), said Nielsen.
