FX’s ‘Taboo’ Draws Big Audience In Debut

FX’s new drama series Taboo conjured up 3.4 million viewers on a Nielsen Live+3 basis for its Jan. 10 premiere, according to network officials.

The drama series, set in 1814 England and starring Tom Hardy, is now the most time-shifted FX drama series premiere ever among total viewers, according to FX. The series also pulled in 1.63 million adults 18-49, making it the most time-shifted FX series within the demo.

The eight-part series is produced by Scott Free Films and Hardy Son & Baker, and executively produced by Ridley Scott, Kate Crowe, Tom Hardy, Dean Baker and Steven Knight.
