Christa Robinson Named CBS News SVP

Christa Robinson has joined CBS News as senior vice president of communications. She reports to David Rhodes, president of the division, and Gil Schwartz, chief communications officer for CBS Corporation and will oversee CBS News’ day-to-day media relations activities, as well as public affairs and communications strategy. She will report to both Rhodes and Schwartz.

Robinson had led communications at CNN and its global networks for more than a decade, CBS noted in a release. More recently she oversaw corporate communications for Tribune Media and served as director of communications for the White House Domestic Policy Council in the Clinton administration. CBS News said she will play a senior role in directing all the division’s communications strategies and public relations activities, "working to enhance and expand its media presence for broadcast and digital platforms."
