Amazon has greenlit a fourth season of its successful original series Transparent, the OTT service said Monday.
The series, which stars Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), Judith Light (Dallas) Gaby Hoffmann (Girls), Amy Landecker (Louie) and Jay Duplass (Togetherness), will launch its fourth season in 2017. Transparent creator Jill Soloway will return as showrunner for the fourth season of the series, with Andrea Sperling serving as executive producer.
Season three of Transparent will debut this fall, according to Amazon.
“As the quality of television rises to new heights, Transparent continues to stand out for its depth of character, compassionate storytelling and its infinite creative risk-taking,” said Joe Lewis, Head of Half Hour TV at Amazon Studios in a statement. “We’re grateful that customers have responded so enthusiastically to the Pfefferman family and we’re excited to bring them another chapter of their story.”
