`Z Nation’ Provides Syfy Ratings Bite
Syfy’s zombie-themed acquisition series Z Nation drew 1.6 million viewers during its Sept. 12 debut, the network reported Wednesday.
The series, which follows survivors of a zombie apocalypse, provided Syfy with its most watched debut of a acquired series since Dr. Who in 2006, according to network officials. Z Nation, produced by production company The Asylum (Sharknado), also garnered 695,000 adults 18-49 and 853,000 adults 25-54.
Z Nation was also Syfy’s most social acquired scripted series premiere ever across all social metrics (tweets, unique authors, and tweets per unique). For the night, Z Nation ranked as the fourth most tweeted program in both broadcast and cable.
