YES Tallies Second-Most-Watched Game of Season

The Bronx Bombers finished second to the Detroit Tigers in extra innings on Tuesday night, but YES Network scored its second-most-watched Yankees telecast of the 2014 MLB season.

YES's Aug. 5 coverage of New York's 4-3 loss to Detroit averaged a 4.83 household rating and 360,000 TV households in the New York DMA, according to Nielsen data.

The most-watched Yankees telecast on YES this season was the April 4 game against Toronto -- Masahiro Tanaka’s regular-season debut -- that generated a 4.85 rating that translated into 362,000 households.

The Aug. 5 telecast peaked from 10:30-10:45 p.m. with a 6.50 rating and 492,000 households.
