With more than seven figures in buys and with over 80,000 in the stands, WrestleMania 29 became the WWE's highest-grossing event to date.
WWE officials said that the April 7 event at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. grossed upward of $72 million, as the event attracted a sell-out of 80, 676 fans from all 50 states and 34 countries, and more than 1 million global pay-per-view purchases.
The Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans will be the site of Wrestleania 30 on Sunday, April 6, 2014.
