The Weather Channel Greenlights Two Series

The Weather Channel will add to its unscripted lineup with two new series set to debut in 2015, said network officials.

The new series include BrainStormers, which follows three weather hackers who help people solve their weather-related challenges and How Weather Created A Monster, which focuses on mythical creatures and how weather conditions have allowed for their existence, said network officials. BrainStormers debuts in March 2015, while How Weather Created A Monster premieres in fourth quarter 2015.

“There are so many amazing ways that weather shapes our lives,” said David Clark, president of The Weather Channel network. “With these two new series, The Weather Channel delves far beyond the usual weather stories to show just how pervasive weather’s impact is.”

In addition, The Weather Channel has also greenlit a second season of its hit series Tornado Alley, which was the network’s third highest performing series of all time.
