WE tv Renews 'Braxton,' 'SWV' Series

WE tv said it has renewed two of the network’s most popular unscripted originals, Braxton Family Values and SWV Reunited. Braxton Family Values is getting a fourth season of 26 new episodes and SWV Reunited has been picked up for an expanded sophomore season of 10 episodes.

“WE tv has become a true destination for quality unscripted originals on Thursday nights,” Lauren Gellert, senior vice president, original production & development, said in a release. “These shows have played a significant role in expanding our audience, reaching new viewers, attracting advertisers and building momentum for the network, and we’re excited to give our viewers exactly what they want by bringing them back for fresh new seasons.”

Braxton Family Values centers on the relationships, careers and personal lives of sisters Toni, Tamar, Towanda, Trina and Traci Braxton and matriarch Miss E. The most recent third season delivered an average of 1.4 million viewers. SWV Reunited averaged 1.2 million viewers over its initial six-episode run. It follows the dynamic relationship of Coko, Taj and Lelee of the 90s R&B group “SWV – Sisters With Voices.”
