Starz Encore Group LLC’s WAM! America’s Kidz Network said Tuesday that it will begin a yearlong campaign on the national debate about television content and decency.
The centerpiece of the campaign will be the latest installment of the network’s Table Talk: Real Families Face Real Issues, called Table Talk: How Far Is Too Far?, which will debut Sunday, June 20 at 8 p.m. (EST/PST).
Table Talk, funded by the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation, features actual parent-child conversations about TV values and responsible viewing.
WAM! will mark the premiere of How Far Is Too Far? with on-air spots that encourage parents and kids to discuss TV content, which will run between WAM! movies and series.
The network is also developing its first original public-service announcement -- which will be available to the industry in June -- to encourage parents to make television viewing a family matter.
