Comedy Central has promoted Lou Wallach to senior vice president, original programming and development.
Wallach had been VP, original programming and development.
In his new role, he will be responsible for development and supervision of original programming on the East Coast, including Comedy’s stand-up franchise -- Comedy Central Presents, Premium Blend and the network’s one-hour stand-up specials.
He will also manage development of original content for expansion into new digital platforms.
Wallach continues to report to executive VP of original programming and development Lauren Corrao.
