The Coca-Cola Co., Motorola Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. are on board as sponsors for MTV Networks Latin America’s fourth-annual MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, the programmer said Monday.
The 2005 events marks year No. 4 for Coca-Cola and the second straight year for Motorola and H-P.
Mexican rock band Molotov will host the 2005 VMALAs, which will be held Thursday, Oct. 20 at 10 p.m. (EST) at the Great Tlachco Theater in Xcaret, located in Playa del Carmen in the Mexican Caribbean.
Among this year’s performers: My Chemical Romance, Sean Paul, Babasónicos, Shakira, Foo Fighters, Good Charlotte and Simple Plan.
