Victor Cruz Foundation Announces Fair to Benefit Stem Education

The Vicor Cruz Foundation announced a festive way to incorporate sports and science education for STEM programming, with plans to turn Pier 36 in NYC into HalloweenLand on October 25.

The event is presented by Time Warner Cable and Chase, among other partners, and all ticket sales will benefit afterschool science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programming for two Boys and Girls Clubs of America in the tri-state area.

“I’ve been actively involved in promoting the importance of STEM education for the future of our nation and our children, as an ambassador for Time Warner Cable’s Connect a Million Minds initiative and through my own foundation,” said Victor Cruz. “I’m super excited to be able to bring this event to life. With the support of some of my fellow teammates, friends, family, fans, our generous corporate sponsors and all HalloweenLand supporters, we will be able to help create and enhance hands-on STEM programming at two local Boys and Girls Clubs, including my childhood club in Paterson.”

Victor Cruz joined Time Warner Cable's Connect a Million Minds (CAMM) program in order to showcase the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) STEM program for these clubs all over the country, where students are exposed to the science every day. Additional STEM programming will be brought to local clubs through the even proceeds.

Guests at the event will be able to practice with Victor Cruz, along with teammates Mark Herzlich and Julian Talley. NY Knick, J.R. Smith will also be there to shoot hoops with those who show their support.

Tickets are available for purchase online, ranging from $90 to $400.
