Continuing its celebreality bent, VH1 has picked up a reality series starring Eddie Griffin and one executive-produced by Scott Baio.
VH1 has ordered eight episodes of the Griffin show, tentatively titled Eddie Griffin: Going for Broke, from Grief Co. (A&E's Gene Simmons Family Jewels). The project tracks the actor/comedian’s life and the duality of his image of a player and being a family man.
The series from Baio -- who has done star turns in Scott Baio Is 45…and Single and Scott Baio Is 46…and Pregnant for VHI -- will assemble eight former male teen idols, circa the 1980s and 1990s, and look at their lives after their fall from stardom and what steps they are taking to get back in the business.
