VH1 Classic is working with World Productions on Decades Rock Live, a new live-concert series that will bow in September.
The program will feature performances by celebrated artists from the rock ‘n’ roll and soul genres who have influenced music over the past half-century, as well as performances from some of today’s recording acts who have been inspired by these musicians.
The first installment of the series -- which will be taped at the Trump Taj Mahal’s HDTV studio in Atlantic City, N.J., Aug. 5 -- stars The Doors of the 21st Century, featuring original Doors members Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, as well as Ian Astbury (The Cult).
Special guests will include Perry Farrell from Jane’s Addiction, guitarists Pat Travers, girl group Antigone Rising and the original Vanilla Fudge.
