‘Tyrant’ Gets Third Season Greenlight

FX will bring back its drama series Tyrant for a third season, the network said.

The Howard Gordon produced series will return in 2016 with a 10-episode season, said FX officials. On a Live+7 basis, the second season of Tyrant averaged 2.47 million total viewers and 1.05 million adults 18-49.

“Tyrant’s second season took the show to a new level thanks to the skill and direction of Howard, Chris and Glenn and their creative team, the exceptional cast and a story steeped in family, loyalty and intrigue,” Schrier said. “We look forward to the next chapter and a sensational third season of Tyrant.”
