TV One has renewed its reality series Rickey Smiley For Real, the network announced Monday.
The one-hour series, which follows the life of syndicated radio personality and stand-up comedian Rickey Smiley, will return to TV One May 10, said network officials. Season one of Rickey Smiley For Real was the second most watched series in its time slot among adult black viewers 25-54, said network officials.
Rickey Smiley For Real is produced by Bobbcat Films with Smiley and Roger Bobb as executive producers, and Angi Bones as co-executive producer.
“Rickey’s unmatched sense of humor, business savvy and passion for his family resonated well with our audience, said TV One president Brad Siegel in a statement. “we are thrilled to team up with Rickey and both his real family and radio show family for another season of real life turmoil and love.”
