TV One Promotes Drewer To CFO

TV One has elevated Jody Drewer to executive vice president and chief financial officer.
In his new post, Drewer, who had been serving as the African American-targeted service's senior vice president and controller, is responsible for all financial administration, reporting, planning, treasury, and tax functions. He succeeds Bob Buenting, TV One's original CFO, who recently retired from the company.

Drewer joined TV One in 2007 from Discovery Communications, where he was vice president, financial planning and analysis and led the strategic planning and annual budgeting/forecasting processes, as well as led the team responsible for corporate areas including: Discovery Studios (originals), Discovery Production Group (post production), and the Television Operations Group.

"Jody is a tremendous asset to TV One, with an incredible background in strategic planning, finance and the cable network business," said TV One president and CEO Johnathan Rodgers in a statement. "Bob Buenting brought Jody on board with this succession in mind, and the transition could not be more seamless. As an added bonus, Jody is also a pleasure to work with."
