Turner Lifts Matteson, Skedgell In Communications Posts

Turner Broadcasting has upped Jeff Matteson to the new post of senior vice president and strategic communications officer.
He had been senior vice president of communications. In his new post, Matteson will have strategic and operating oversight of all TBS messaging across its various networks and businesses.
Misty Skedgell, vice president of corporate communications and corporate responsibility, has been elevated to senior vice president of corporate communications, serving as the company's chief spokesperson. Skedgell will also oversee corporate philanthropy and social responsibility.

The moves come in the wake of communications veteran Shirley Powell's departure to The Weather Channel Cos.
