Emmys: 'Transparent' Wins Two Comedy Emmys

Amazon’s Transparent takes two major Emmys in the comedy category, including best actor honors for lead actor Jeffrey Tambor.

Tambor’s portrayal of a transgendered character beat out Anthony Anderson of ABC’s Blackish;  Showtime’s lineup of Matt LeBlanc (Episodes);  Don Cheadle (House of Lies) and William H. Macy (Shameless);  Louis C.K. of FX’s Louie, and Will Forte of Fox’s Last Man On Earth.

Jill Soloway picked up Transparent's first Emmy for best director in a Comedy Series, winning over  directors from The Last Man On Earth, Louie, Silicon Valley, and Veep.
