TNT Names Christmas in Washington Hosts

Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife, Robin, will host Turner Network Television’s annual Christmas in Washington concert, the network said Monday.

Christmas in Washington will air on TNT Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. (EST/PST). The concert will be taped at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. JoJo, LeAnn Rimes, Ruben Studdard and Vanessa Williams will perform.

The annual event is usually attended by the president and first lady, top politicians and other VIPs, and it benefits the National Children's Medical Center.

McGraw's nationally syndicated daily one-hour series, Dr. Phil, has been a ratings success since its September 2002 launch, and his wife appears on the show frequently to discuss women's issues.

“We are thrilled to have such a wonderful lineup of performers for this year's gala and that Dr. Phil, who provides hope and healing to so many people, will be taking such a central role in this very special event,” TNT and TBS executive vice president and chief operating officer Steve Koonin said in a prepared statement.
