TNT Greenlights `Agent X’ Series

TNT will add to its action/drama series lineup with original series Agent X.

The series stars Jeff Hephner (Interstellar), a special government operative deployed to protect the country at the discretion of the vice president Sharon Stone (Casino, Basic Instinct). Gerald McRaney (House of Cards) also stars in the series, which will be executively produced by Armyan Bernstein (Air Force One) and Stone, said network officials.

The 10-episode Agent X is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2015, said the network.

"Agent X is a perfect fit for TNT's expanding lineup of action-dramas," said Lillah McCarthy, senior vice president of TNT and TBS Original Productions in a statement. "It's a slick, high-energy thrill-ride with lots of twists and turns, big action sequences and kick-ass stunts. And at the center of it all, we have an incredible cast led by Jeff Hephner, Sharon Stone and Gerald McRaney."
