TLC: While You Were Out, You Won Sweeps

The Learning Channel is launching a sweepstakes based on its While You Were Out series.

Beginning Sept. 13, the Discovery Networks U.S. service and its affiliate partners will give viewers a shot at a $10,000 grand prize “to make an ordinary room in their home into the extraordinary space of their dreams,” the network said in a prepared statement.

TLC will run on-air spots encouraging consumers to visit local sponsors, where they will get scratch-off game cards for the chance to instantly win the grand prize or one of 500 secondary prizes -- $25 gift certificates to The Discovery Channel Store or Discovery Channel Store online at (

For the chance to win weekend getaways, consumers can enter online or via mail through the instant-win game pieces and printed materials at participating local retailers.
