SeaChange International Inc. said Lexcom Cable -- a subsidiary of local-exchange carrier Lexcom Communications -- has rolled out its “VODLink” video-on-demand software package.
SeaChange said VODLink allowed Lexcom to develop its own subscriber navigational interface for “LexCommand,” its VOD service. VODLink will enable Lexcom to deliver DVD movies and extra programming.
"Ultimately, we believe our customers will expect their DVDs to be delivered the same way, and we're setting the stage for that breakthrough, as well," Lexcom vice president and director of operations Alan Bailey said in a prepared statement.
In other technology news, EdgeTV said it has selected GoldPocket Interactive to be its interactive-TV-technology provider for its gaming channel, which is set to launch in 2005.
