Turner Classic Movies will debut original documentary I'm KING KONG! The Exploits of Merian C. Cooper Tuesday, Nov. 22, the network said Wednesday.
Narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Alec Baldwin, the documentary examines “the man who first concocted the idea of a giant gorilla on the rampage in New York,” the network said.
Among those who will be interviewed: King Kong star Fay Wray, Mighty Joe Young star Terry Moore, special-effects master Ray Harryhausen, matte artist Craig Barron, novelist Ray Bradbury, historians Rudy Behlmer and James D'Arc, producer-director David Strohmaier and biographer Mark Vaz.
TCM will also air the original 1933 classic King Kong and 1949 adventure Mighty Joe Young.
