As part of TBS Superstation’s Major League Baseball coverage, the network will air 17 Friday-night Atlanta Braves games uniquely branded as Braves TBS Baseball Friday Night Xtra.
As part of the new look, MLB greats such as former Chicago Cub Ryne Sandberg, former Baltimore Oriole and two-time American League Most Valuable Player Cal Ripken Jr. and ex-St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith will join Skip Caray, Pete Van Wieren, Joe Simpson and Don Sutton on selected telecasts.
"Having baseball legends and other celebrity guests join our telecasts, coupled with our production improvements and in-game enhancements, should make our 17 Friday-night games stand out," Turner Sports president David Levy said in a prepared statement.
Also new this season is an updated Braves baseball studio show, TBS Sports Control presented by MasterCard, featuring full-time exclusive host Marc Fein.
