Chris Regina has been promoted to SVP Program Strategy Syfy and Chiller, where he will oversee planning, Original Movie development, and production/scheduling, the network announced today.
Regina will report to President Dave Howe, where he will also manage the network's international and domestic co-productions, including the series Z Nation, programs Lost Girl, Bitten and Continuum, as well as the upcoming series Olympus.
“Chris has done a remarkable job building a solid primetime schedule with smart, on-the-brand acquisitions and co-productions, along with being the driving force behind the Sharknado global social media phenomenon. We look forward to his many contributions to the growth of Syfy in the years to come," said Howe in a release.
Regina started out at Syfy as the Director, Scheduling and Administration in 1998, and he was previously the Program Director at WGTW-TV in Philadelphia.
