Superconnect released version 2.0 of cable-monitoring software “CableAware” Monday.
The vendor said CableAware “auto-discovers all of the CPE [customer-premises equipment] gear on an MSO's network and provides countless ways to monitor performance, reliability, trends, alarms and outages. The data are available to everyone from the engineering level to customer-services representatives to technicians in the field via a versatile, flexible Web interface.”
Superconnect added that new features in CableAware 2.0 include nationwide street mapping with geolocation, network-map overlay, support for Motorola Inc.’s cable overlay and a more intuitive interface.
