Olympic gold-medalist gymnast Kerri Strug will play -- surprise -- a gymnast in the Aug. 22 episode of Lifetime Television’s Strong Medicine, entitled “Life in the Balance.”
Strug’s character is a professional gymnast whose estranged sister needs a liver transplant after surviving a drive-by shooting.
During the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, Strug battled an injured ankle to help propel the United States to its first gold medal in the team competition.
She has also appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210 and Touched by an Angel.
