Sportsman Channel Series Fulfills Teen Leukemia Victim's Dream

published Wired Outdoors, a series airing on Sportsman Channel, gave a teenager stricken with leukemia, a chance to make his dream come turn.
On the special episode of Wired Outdoors, premiering Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. on Sportsman, Pennsylvania native Douglas Fickel, who is also one of 500 people in the world with Ataxia-Teleangiectasia, was able to realize his dream of hunting a bull moose in Maine.
Fickel, who spends more than 100 days a year in the hospital annually because of the combination of the disease and has recurrent chemotherapy treatments and transfusions, was the beneficiary of the Wired Outdoors annual "Camo Cares" fundraising event.
