Speed Sets Texas Hardtails
By MCN Staff published
Speed Channel will mix comedy and custom motorcycles with a new series debuting June 28 at 8:30 p.m. (EST/PST).
Texas Hardtails will provide “a comedic look at the world of custom-motorcycle giant Rick Fairless and his Dallas businesses,” the network said Monday.
The show will follow Fairless, his wife, his mother, his children and employees from his Strokers Dallas, a multimillion-dollar, 35,000-square-foot motorcycle wonderland that includes Fairless' fab shop, a retail bike and apparel shop and a restaurant and bar known as Strokers Ice House.
“There will be limited scripting," Speed vice president of programming Robert Ecker said in a prepared statement. "Texas Hardtails will be a weekly look at real people in a real setting, recreating colorful stories from the quintessential biker hangout."
