Speed Channel plans to put the spotlight on custom-motorcycle maker Rick Fairless and his popular biker bar in Dallas next year.
The auto channel will produce a miniseries on Fairless and his Strokers dealership, which produces custom one-off bikes, as well as his bar and grill, Strokers Ice House.
"This is going to be a motorcycle show like no other," Speed vice president of programming Robert Ecker said in a prepared statement.
“Rick and Strokers are authentic originals, and the show that bears these names will be, too,” he added. “Rick has not gotten where he is by playing it safe and being complacent; this program will reflect his daring, his one-of-a-kind personality and his offbeat, edgy sense of humor. We intend to take everyone's notion of so-called reality shows and spin it into something entirely new and unexpected.”
The network said schedule information would be released in January.
