SNY kicks off its live game coverage of Rutgers football today as the Scarlet Knights take on the Howard University Bison.
The contest begins at 3:30 p.m. (ET) and will be followed next Saturday Sept. 19 by SNY's coverage of Rutgers-Florida International tilt at 5 p.m.
The RSN, the home to New York Mets baseball games and the carrier for New York Jets ancillary programming, will also serve up a host of other exclusive Rutgers programming throughout the 2009 season.
Each week during the season, Rutgers fans can stay on top of their team by catching every one of coach Greg Schiano's live Monday morning press conferences via SNY's Rutgers Press Pass show, which will premiere at 11:30 a.m. Immediately thereafter, Schiano will sit down with SNY's Chris Carlin for an exclusive interview.
Also, returning for its second season on SNY is Inside Rutgers Football with Greg Schiano. This show includes exclusive commentary from the Rutgers head football coach, as well as player features and behind-the-scene looks at the program.
For those who missed the game on Saturday or just want to relive the highlights or the what-could-have-been moments, there is Rutgers Rush Hour, a 60-minute condensed version of the prior Saturday's game, or a rewind of the full contest, under the banner of Tuesday Knight Football .
