Singer Joins Charter

Cable programming veteran Allan Singer has joined Charter Communications as senior vice president of programming, the MSO announced Monday.

Singer, who will report to Charter president and CEO Michael Lovett, comes to the MSO from

OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, where he served as executive vice president of distribution and strategy.

"We're thrilled to have Allan on board, rejoining his former colleagues on our programming and operations teams," said Lovett in a statement. "I'm confident that Allan will provide outstanding leadership in his new role, and that he and his team will achieve many successes in managing our always-important programming activities."

Before joining OWN, Singer worked for Comcast as senior vice president of content acquisition, senior vice president of Sports Business Development and senior vice president of programming investments. Prior to Comcast, Singer was senior vice president of programming for AT&T Broadband.
