Si TV's 'Model Latina' Series Arrives In Manhattan

The third season of Si TV's model competition show will showcase 15 Latina lovelies vying for the chance to hit it big in the fashion world in the Big Apple.
Bowing on Aug. 2 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), Model Latina NYC will bring together 15 aspiring Latina models over 13 installments. For a third straight year, Fashionista and Miami television personality Ellie Rodriguez will serve as host of the series for the third year. She has hosted a number of specials and works at WSVN-TV on Deco Drive, and launched her own clothing line, Not Your Average.

Varying in age from 18 to 26, the Model Latina NYC contestants will be challenged to demonstrate their savvy, beauty and style before being selected for the series, and becoming television's newest star. The show's winner will receive $25,000 in cash and a contract with Q Model Management, a modeling agency with offices in New York and Los Angeles.
The Model Latina franchise has become a star-maker, with first- and second-season winners Jessica Caban and Codie Cabral, now gracing magazines covers, appearing in TV commercials, fashion shows and movies.
Caban, the season one winner from New York, parlayed her success on the show into a variety of projects, including a contract with L'Oreal, fashion spreads in magazines, a television commercial for Chase and a photo shoot for Dreamwear, Inc. She is also appearing in feature films.
Season-two winner, San Diego County's Cabral, now based in New York, has been featured in recent Reebok and Sephora campaigns, as well as TV spots for Spike TV and LXTV.
