Showtime to Offer Early Look at ‘Penny Dreadful’

Showtime will offer the third season premiere episode of its horror series Penny Dreadful days in advance of its linear premiere this Sunday.

Showtime will air a TV-14 rated version of the season three premiere episode for free on YouTube, Facebook and SHO.com, as well as a free video podcast download on iTunes.

Consumers can sample the premiere for free across multiple devices via Hulu, Roku and Sony PlayStation Vue. The episode can also be accessed via multiple television providers’ free On Demand channels, websites and applications, including Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox Communications, DirecTv, DISH, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS.

The psychological thriller stars Josh Harnett, Timothy Dalton and Eva Green.

The announcment follows on the heels of the network's decision earlier this month to stream all six episodes of its comedy series Dice on its Showtime OTT streaming service as well as its Showtime Anytime and Showtime On Demand services in advance of the Andrew Dice Clay-starrer's linear premiere on the pay TV service.
