RealNetworks Inc. announced that the "Gold" version of its “RealPlayer 10” for Linux operating systems and its “Helix Player” are now available for consumer use.
The move comes on the heels of RNI's announcement that its “Harmony” technology would allow consumers to import music files from a variety of sources to Apple Computer Inc.'s popular “iPod” digital-music player.
Apple has taken exception to RNI's move, and it is investigating whether the technology violates any patents.
